Special School Eye Care Service (SSES) at Greenvale School
At Greenvale School, we are thrilled to be working with SeeAbility, a charity dedicated to transforming eye care for children with additional needs. This work will bring significant benefits to our young people, helping to support their vision and overall wellbeing.
Through the Special School Eye Care Service, SeeAbility will provide:
Comprehensive eye tests conducted at school.
The dispensing of glasses tailored to each child’s needs.
Ongoing support to help young people adapt to wearing glasses and fully engage with their visual aids.
This incredible service is available toevery young person at Greenvale School, ensuring that all students receive the support they need. It will also help identify any undiagnosed visual needs among our cohort, empowering our students to overcome potential barriers to their learning and independence.
To further support our students, each child will receive two pairs of glasses, ensuring they always have a backup set. Replacement glasses can also be conveniently ordered through the school.
At Greenvale School, we are committed to removing obstacles to success and fostering independence for every child, both now and in the future.
