A Graduated Approach to Multi-Disciplinary Working
At Greenvale School, we employ a graduated approach to multi-disciplinary working, ensuring every child receives the right support at the right time. Collaborating closely with therpists including Speech and Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Physiotherapists, we provide a tiered framework of universal, targeted, and specialist provision tailored to students' needs.
Universal Provision: Strategies and resources designed to benefit all students, including staff training, classroom adaptations, total communication-friendly environments, and movement breaks.
Targeted Provision: Small group or individual interventions addressing specific areas of need, such as Lego Therpay, Hi-Tech AAC, sensory regulation activities, or posture support. These interventions are typically introduced by therapists, with staff trained to continue delivery and implementation.
Specialist Provision: Intensive, personalised support for students with more complex needs, delivered in close collaboration with therapists through individualised plans and programs.
This graduated approach ensures that students access the right level of support, empowering them to thrive.
